[kwlug-disc] Ubuntu 17.10

I just downloaded the new Ubuntu 17.10 and installed it in a virtual
machine (virtualbox on a Windows host).

So far, it's interesting, but I'm sure I don't need to remind the people
here to not drop a brand new release on a production box.  In other words,
I've come across quite a few bugs so far...
