[kwlug-disc] Starcon could use more sponsors

Here is another ad! I went to the KW-CyberSecurity meetup this evening
and one of the organizers of StarCon (starcon.io) was present. She
said that they would like to have more attendees, but they don't have
the money to increase venues, catering, etc. She said that Starcon is
looking for sponsors. 

Would you or your company be interested in sponsoring the conference?
Apparently packages start at $500. I do not know how much money they
want before they will open up registration to more people, though.

I was not so sure about this conference when I first heard about it,
but it looks as if it is going to be pretty great. Julia Evans is
going to be one of the keynotes! She is b0rk on Twitter and has an
amazing tech blog at jvns.ca , which I highly recommend even if you
don't care about StarCon. It looks like a bunch of the other talks are
good too.

I figured that there are some people on this list who are either
wealthy or work for wealthy companies that might be interested in
sponsorships, so I am throwing this out there. (I guess KW Linux Fest
might be another worthy recipient of sponsorships too, but I hear
rumours that due to labour relations this may be delayed.)
