[kwlug-disc] email clients for kwlug - suggestions?

OK. Enough is enough.

With the yahoo changes, and ensuing mailman (kwlug list manager app)
processing [messages sent to the list, cc the yahoo address], not only
have I missed that I've replied to the individual, not the list, the
recipient also sent back directly to me, not the list. (No fault to
them.) Enough is enough - I'm going to occasionally forget to check that
I'm replying to the list not the sender. This never used to be an issue.

So I switched to gmail ... forgetting that gmail's auto-dedup processing
means one doesn't get their own posts to the list.

So what are people's favourite alternatives out there these days?

From the above, gmail and yahoo are out. Not too happy about the idea
of live.ca. openmailbox has 1GB storage limit. ruggedinbox appears gone.
I've used gmx.com in the past, happily so. A quick google reminds me of
zoho (has docs, contacts, tasks, too, apparently), and I see yandex,
inbox.com, and fastmail - but know nothing of them.

Interesting thing about ruggedinbox was not U.S., encrypted storage, and
(also) available via Tor hidden service (.onion address). Apparently
DDoS'ed to death over a period of 3 months, or something. From
https://www.reddit.com/r/emailprivacy/comments/4b24md/after_3_months_of_ddos_attacks_ruggedinboxcom/
NSA/GCHQ is suspected, per "Exploitation: Degrade Tor experience".

Thoughts (on favourite free e-mail providers with imap, for thunderbird)?
