Not to flog a dead horse too much more, but "vote splitting" is a bit 
problem with this.

Consider two candidates A1 and A2, who are very similar, and most voters 
prefer either of them, but have to choose one of them; then candidate B, 
who not many people like. So maybe voting goes like this:

A1  - 3 votes
A2  - 3 votes
B   - 4 votes

Then the least preferred option gets in, because of the splitting of 
A-type votes. Apparently substituting `Rob Ford' for B gives an idea of 
what can happen in our voting system.
