[kwlug-disc] Trying out some additional material on past meeting pages...

unsolicited unsolicited at swiz.ca

I have made some blog entries, for lack of other (kwlug) facilities, but
I don't blog.

I have appreciated Raul's and others entries. And I've appreciated the
ability to search.

So although I have seen no blogs, and removing blogging would not upset
me, I would like to see the ability to post in some fashion maintained.
A wiki equivalent to a user talk page would do it.

kwlug.org being, well, kwlug.org, it appears to be a useful central K-W
spot for those posting Linux/FOSS stuff when they have nowhere else they
are inclined to, on (kwlug.org) topic specific / one-off things.

Much of the functional choices seem to have occurred pre-twitter and
pre-google+. Given their presence, a rethink of kwlug.org facilities
makes some sense - whether it be to aggregate, be different, or be
(kwlug.org / Linux / K-W) specific. Forums would be useful, but would
people use them in addition or instead of the list, and wouldn't it be
creating yet another place to post? (Not saying that's bad. Or good.)

Reminder, however poor it is, kwlug exists on google+
(https://plus.google.com/108326364826476905370), and there is a
kwlug-community community within it.

Don't know if kwlug.org should aggregate or link to it or something. I
am only just now minded that although I posted to this list at creation,
I never posted to kwlug.org at the time. Some have said that google+ is
already old / dated / unpopular, so maybe that's no bad thing.

If you did embed something for zfs or btrfs, thank you - was waiting for
updated content. But I don't see it at http://kwlug.org/node/897.
