On a different side of the coin ... I've heard it said that more and 
more people are putting in more and more time at work, without being 
paid overtime.

VPN'ing in is just self-inflicting this on oneself.

There is some truth to 'leave work at work.' Other areas in life, 
particularly family, is as, or I'd say, more, important than work.

'course the truth is somewhere in between, neither 0% nor 100%. And 
'tis a hard line to draw, let alone follow. Particularly when 'just a 
little more' work will 'get it off my plate.' Hours later ...

Perhaps not implementing VPN is a good thing. And good luck to us all 
with that thought.
