The Kitchener-Waterloo Linux User Group, or KWLUG is a collection of people who are interested in learning, teaching and sharing our experiences with Linux and Free Software.

We hold monthly meetings in Kitchener, Ontario where we have informative presentations and fascinating discussion. Curious about attending a KWLUG meeting? You'll find information about a typical meeting here. Our meetings are free to attend.

Many presenters will choose to use a projection monitor to share their computer display with the attendees. If you are presenting to KWLUG you'll want to consider the projector that we have.

    Our projector is a Philips LC4433
  • Native resolution: 800 x 600 pixels
  • Alternate resolution: 640 x 480 (resized)
  • Alternate resolution: 1024 x 768 (resized)
  • Alternate resolution: 1280 x 1024 (resized)

You'll want to use the native resolution 800 x 600 where possible. Results with the alternate resolutions can be uneven. (Previous presenter's laptops have had home horizontal alignment issues.)

If you are a member at another Linux user group then you already know what to expect. We're pretty much like the other user groups you've visited. Drop in and see us whether you are passing through on business, or moving here from afar.

If you haven't visited a Linux user group before (and if you are reading this page, that's probably a fair bet) you may be curious as to what to expect.

You can expect to meet a varied goup of people from most any background imaginable. We have members that are just starting to learn about Linux and members that know a great deal already.

We meet monthly, usually on the first Monday of the month. Please check the Next Meeting link for details. There is a parking lot behind the building and parking after 6pm is free (last time we checked). We meet at:
