    <p>Not surprising about BTRFS given its many ups and downs.  <br>

    <p>That said, I make use of BTRFS snapshotting every day in a
      production research environment.</p>
    <p>The integration with the Ubuntu installer makes it a no-brainer
      to use.</p>
    <p>Currently looking to migrate these configurations to ZFS.</p>
    <p>Apparently Ubuntu is working to make this easy in the future:</p>

                If I am not mistaken, btrfs' ability to add and remove
                disks from storage pools makes it a good choice for
                working with eclectic spindles. Something I wouldn't do
                at work, but definitely at home where "found" hardware
                rules the day.<br>
