I like virtual terminal mode a lot, but I've also used FVWM2, Window Maker,<br>
LWM, Sawmill/Sawfish, Enlightenment, and well a lot of WMs. I've also<br>
tried LXDE, XFCE, KDE, GNOME, MATE, Cinnamon...<br>

I use MATE on LMDE 3 now and I still like it a lot, with the colour scheme,<br>
the buttons, the panel which groups icons... the always-there panel annoys<br>
me very slightly, though. Anyway I like most WMs I've tried, but I've only<br>
started liking DEs since I tried Linux Mint a few years ago.<br>

I think I liked GNOME in the 1.0 days. There was a movie with a lot of<br>
pretty girls that was sponsored in part by the GNOME Foundation, I think<br>
it was called Antitrust. But I ramble...<br>

Just...so much free good quality software...<br>
