<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">I think this is a brilliant idea. <br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">I know I would personally benefit greatly from an hour dedicated to the some aspects of the tools available via a terminal and also from various apps in <br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">the more popular DEs for tasks such as backups, remote syncing and the like. <br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">I am a big fan of the Xfce DE and appreciate the features of the Cinnamon DE. <br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">Being pretty new at this Linux thing, as in 11 months, I need to get more learnin' in me for all things Linux. <br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">After killing some 39 years in CP/M 2.2, ZCPR3, Applesoft(Apple ][), Dos 1.1-Dos 6.22, and then Windows 1.1 to current, I have a huge amount of baggage to cast off  and get on with getting on. <br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">I've only had 2 outings to the KWLUG meets since learning about it last July, but plan on attending many more as I find the time well-spent thanks n no small part to the sincere efforts of all who put this on. I will have to find a way to repay...</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">Since Feb last year, I have convinced and moved over 7 individuals from Win and 2 from Apple to LinuxMint, using the Xfce and Cinnamon DEs, all 9 are very happy and miss nothing other that some kick-ass games. I want to convert more people, I want to be RELIGIOUS about it, haha. <br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">I just need to get learning it(Linux cli/bash) some more and not just clicking boxes on a DE, yeah, I would benefit from newbie sessions.<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br clear="all"><div><div class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature">Thanks,<br><br>Ron Singh<br>"in transit, via mobile comm device"</div></div>
