<div dir="ltr">I used to have the Milestone too. Not a bad phone, but way underpowered for my needs. Moved up to a Samsung Galaxy SIII; much happier now.<div><br></div><div>The contract on Wifeski's phone runs until Christmas of this year. I'll do the math on early termination but it's hard to put a price on how frustrated we get with Bell.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Here's another example: when we got her phone, the contract package says "unlimited text and pictures texting" (or whatever the actual term was, but it did say unlimited pictures). BUT... we didn't get a data plan with this package, so the pictures part never worked. You can send a picture via text message for free, but you have to have a data portion in your package. I just figured that we never had pictures because we never had data, so I didn't really think about it much. It wasn't until we talked to a Koodo guy that we figured out what the problem was. We phoned Bell back and sure enough, that's what happened. The fine print under the fine print says you need data for pictures to work. It's my fault for not bringing a nuclear powered microscope with me to the store!</div>

<br>So, I opted for the 'best' phone that had a keyboard (Motorola Milestone). That was such a disappointment of a keyboard, and the following year I moved to a Sony Xperia X10 with touch screen, and never bothered to look for keyboards again.<br>

All my phones have been bought via Kijiji. Most of them locally. Rarely from Toronto before I have a trip there. The majority of them were unlocked. Only one needed to be unlocked (via a now defunct web site and Paypal, so no credit card to a stranger). Take your SIM when you meet the seller and test it on the spot to make sure it is unlocked. <br>
