Interesting. Hopefully they will leverage the CM/mod community
efforts for the plumbing and have a full-fledged Ubuntu userspace on
top of it. It would be a pity to replicate that work.<br>

Maybe one day one will be able to have a decent "Ubuntu VM"
experience on a phone (Ubuntu for Android?), but I think that is
still in the future. The closer to metal Ubuntu on the phone is,
the more successful it will be.<br>

My take: Nexus devices may very well run it fine. Handset
manufacturers who rolled their own kernel or are using binary

Android..." is probably "if you can install Cyanogen, you can

The Ubuntu Nexus 7 image is a standalone firmware image
based on the Android kernel for the Tegra3 processor. I
would be surprised if it ran on any non-Tegra3 hardware
like the Nexus S. With a pile of work, you might be able

version appear to have been ironed
out and performance is improved.
Sizing the desktop for the amount
