I'm not quite sure their company is @ <a href="http://redstonehost.com">http://redstonehost.com</a> they have a rough in description of their VPS's that they provide.<div><br></div><div>The main needs for a minecraft server is high availability of ram, and a decent internet connection.  Basically it seems that the java minecraft is based on requires alot of iops from the disks for sending "Chunk" data (sections of the world) to the clients.<br>
