I got confused with the disk partition application it uses.

I selected to do the partition manualy as I already have other OSs installed and I didn't want to use all the available space.

Selected free space and clicked "create" selected to mount as "/" and set the size. Clicked "OK" and in the list of partitions didn't show the partition I had just selected to create!

Tried a couple of times but nothing,

Then I decided to go
back and "Use available space". It decided to create a LVM but didn't show me what portions of the HDD it was going to use. I decided to contiue any way but almost at the end it told me that it was going to delete all data on the partitions selected. It didn't make sense because I had selected to use "empty space". Plus it didn't show me which partitions it was going to format.

I decided to cancel the installation and see if someone can tell me what I am missing.

Raul Suarez

Technology consultant
Software, Hardware and Practices
_________________
Twitter: rarsamx
http://rarsa.blogspot.com/
An eclectic collection of random thoughts
