The provider I use is Unlimitel.   .. <a href="http://www.unlimitel.ca/">http://www.unlimitel.ca/</a><br>I use their <span class="heading_blue_big"></span><span class="invoice">VoIP a la Carte because I don't make that many calls.   My average phone bill per month is $10.<br>

I'm trying to refresh my memory about some of the things Lori talked about last time we had a VoIP/Asterisk presentation.<br>

To start with, what is the general name of the service (for Googling) that gives you a POTS to VoIP bridge, and forwards the calls to your Asterisk box?  That is to say, you are essentially buying a phone number.  I seem to recall that this service was available for significantly less than the cost of a landline.<br>
