Panels is good for having complex layouts, e.g. a page consisting of several<br>"panes" each coming from a different data source (nodes, views, feeds, ...etc.).<br><br>Again, like views, if the *only* reason you are adding that module is to position<br>
things, then you are doing it wrong, and I would consider it bloat. It is yet another<br>module that you have to maintain and update, wait for upgrades between core<br>releases, watch for security updates, and impact overall site complexity. <br>
