That's a rather damning list of issues; quite disappointing.

The Open Source Security podcast had a ½ hour interview with the project 
lead back in March:

 From memory, they were working in collaboration with the coreutils 
team, using the same test suite, and even found a bug in `sudo` that 
they informed upstream about. (Again, this is all from memory.)
