Unlike IPv4, IPv6 is designed to have multiple addresses.
<link> is a link-local IPv6 address. Think of this like 169.254.0.0/16,
the "things arn't working" link-only IPv4 addresses you get when DHCP
isn't working, or your router is offline. Except it's actually usable to
talk to local network devices, like routers, NAS, etc.
<global> is your actual routable IPv6 address. This is the address used
when talking to devices on other networks, and is actually routable back
to you.
