Brent,
Well I am happy that part worked out and sorry for the confusion.

I think I have learned my lesson that if I am not going to be there I need
to find someone to play the host duties.
In  the worst case they will have a quiet dinner, but at least they will
know what they are getting into.

Brent, I think you were turned into tonight's host by default, so thank you
for that. 😀
Hopefully, Devon will make it out again in the future.
