I believe Logitech uses the "Unifying" name on their receiver, since you 
can re-bind multiple devices to a single dongle.

As for what is providing the firmware, it's probably fwupdmgr:

     $ sudo fwupdmgr upgrade
     Devices with no available firmware updates:
      • Lenovo ThinkPad Dock
      • Lenovo ThinkPad Dock
      • ADATA SX6000NP
      • UEFI Device Firmware
      • UEFI Device Firmware
      • VMM2322
     Devices with the latest available firmware version:
      • System Firmware
