Hello KWLUG,
I received permission form Paul to write this to you, in seeing if there
would be anybody would like to help out with a non-profit (Creating for a
Better Future) that gives parenting and youth programs on building healthy
familial relationships, and is in the process of publishing books on these
and other education-centered subjects.
We want to get on Instagram to promote our programs and upcoming books, but
don't want to post from a smartphone. It's small, unwieldy, and when you're
designing things on the computer, it's a pain in the rear end to transfer
files from your comp to your phone. I tried using google drive, but it
didn't always update in a timely fashion, and it was basically impossible
to post from google drive on your phone to instagram. Right now, I am just
transferring files from my comp to the phone via cable. That works, but is
slow.
I want to figure out a way to post from the computer. I have tried the
inspect option on browsers, which kind of allows you to post, but it does
not give you much functionality, editing options, or the ability to post
more than one photo in the same post (carousels). This post
<https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/post-to-instagram-from-computer>and
others were tried out but I haven't found much success.
I got Android-x86 to work on VMware and Oracle.Android-x86, but it does not
save the settings, so I have to reinstall it constantly when rebooting.
Once the install is finished, when you reboot, you can't use it as an
interface that's already set-up. It would also be good to have whatsapp on
there to talk with clients, and that you won't have to set it up again and
again.
I would be happy to see if there are any suggestions. If you have any
questions, please write to me!
Thanks a lot!
