[kwlug-disc] Raspberry Pi temperature

The plot thickens ...

I have a third old Pi2 B+ as well. It has aluminum heat sinks on the CPU
and RAM.

Then, I installed Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on it, and guess what: the temperature
is 37.9C.

I understand that the Pi4 would be cooler because it has a fan, but why
does the
Pi3 B+ with the same distro be at 51C, with a copper heat sink, while the
Pi2 is at
38C?
