[kwlug-disc] FLOSS-friendly, usable webconferencing

The issue is that most of these are "conferencing services", rather than
"conferencing products".
If we accept this premise as a restriction (i.e. no usable FLOSS product
that we can self host), then it becomes: which ones are multi-platform
enough.
I assume that at a minimum it should run on a Linux desktop, and maybe
Android phones too.

I use Google Hangouts with some family as a means of video and audio
conferencing. Works well on Android. Works from Firefox on Xubuntu too,
but is kind of a CPU hog there.

I am told that Facebook Messenger works well too, and that its size and
resources were reduced recently. However, this requires me to go back
to social media, which is something I have avoided for the past several
years, and happy that way ...
