Khalid,

According to Ubuntu:

https://certification.ubuntu.com/catalog/component/dmi/4103/dmi%3AIntel%28R%29Celeron%28R%29CPUN3450%401.10GHz/

The N3450 is certified for use with 16.04 using 4.4.x.x kernel, so you
should be all set on that score.

I would think the wireless would also be fully supported by an updated 4.4
kernel and most definitely by 4.14.

Also, the model in question(I think) is the:

http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=710_577_367&item_id=117289

from the mfg:

http://digi.emdoor.com/en/product-info.asp?id=118&nav=1

and yes, they state that there is an M2.2280 ssd slot available to drop in
additional storage.

I look around for a few sec for an internal pic but found nothing useful
that would show what sort of battery pack is used. I would really doubt the
battery is replaceable as in easily detachable, but I would think they
would have the battery plugged in via a cable to the mobo, making it prety
easy to replace for the savvy techy person.

I would think the 32G flash memory will be slow and not so durable, but if
an SSD in the M2.2280 slot is made to be the primary(boot) drive in the
laptop's BIOS and the 32G flash be relegated to a secondary drive, a
download destination or something, this would make for a real fine low-cost
1080P system.

My youngest at 20 sneered at this when I showed it to her though, she is
wedded to her Thinkpads, T420s, X220, X131e. What a Luddite(just like her
dad)!

Good find Mark Steffen, I am tempted to go get one for use as a "guest"
laptop at home running Ubu 16.04 Mate as I have a 250G 2280 SSD just
sitting there, taunting me.

Thanks,

Ron Singh
