Except that they did it wrong.  mx:ufn.com means to include the MX
records for ufn.com, but since ufn.com uses GMail, this would just allow
the GMail servers to send mail for kwflowers.com.  What they wanted to
do was to use a:mail.ufn.com instead of mx:ufn.com.
