FWIW, there was a long discussion not that long ago definitively showing that cat6 was pointless - in the home / outside the server room, at least. Little benefit over 5e, harder to work with, and termination requirements impossible for human hands to effect within spec. [Short of bonds, the equipment for which is seldom seen in the home due to expense, you'll never do more than 2Gbps / full duplex in the home, for which 5e is more than sufficient.]

And ... just in case ... don't forget, you'll want plenum rated cable, regardless of what you go with. (Heat/fire resistance.)

If I were looking for another box of cable, I think my first price reality check would be Home Depot.

If I were looking to buy via web, I'd probably hit shopbot.ca first.
