I, for one, can certainly appreciate where you're coming from.

No doubt better late (and better) than never, and IIRC you hope this to be an annual thing, so I suspect better/easier in subsequent years for you and your team, too.

I know this  conflicts with proposed ideas of integrating it with the Software Freedom day celebrations but I think that the event needs some more prep work.
