I now have three VM’s at cloudatcost, two of which I got for 50% off, for lifetime.  So as the days pass, my VM gets cheaper.  They’re a bit rough around the edges, but overall for nothing mission critical, they’re decent.  I have not seen an Ubuntu 14 LTS image yet, but they do have 12.04 images.
