[kwlug-disc] UPS sized battery purchasing locally?

Turns out my 3 wee little CypberPower 425VA UPS' don't have user
replaceable batteries in them.

Seems that a number of the low end UPS' (keep your phone / modem /
switch /router up across a brief power glitch), don't have user
replaceable batteries. Who knew!

In this case, it seems like user replaceable means separate cover /
compartment where one's fingers can't touch any nasty components and be
shocked when stuck in to wrastle with the battery.

Of course, take the entire cover off and you're good to go.

Seems the batteries currently in them are very hard to find (one off for
manufacture / model?), but there's lots of space in there for a larger
battery. This one is 4"x2"x3.5" 'ish. Looks like there's room in there
for something as big as about 5"x3"x3".

Where can such 12V batteries be purchased in K-W?

Given UPS and replacement battery prices at CanadaComputers, having to
buy new again to replace seems outrageous

I'm sort of guessing K-W Surplus unlikely, Orion a possible.

Others?
