red hat certification still carries weight, and if anyone is serious
about prepping to take the red hat cert exams, i can recommend this
book:

http://www.amazon.ca/Hands-Guide-Red-Hat-Exams/dp/0321767950

disclaimer: i'm the technical editor of that book, but i have no
financial interest whatsoever in anyone purchasing a copy. i have used
that book as the basis for teaching a course that was focused on
preparing people for the RH cert exams.
