I know that some would not like this, because of privacy, but it is
available for those who don't mind
Google.

By default Google backs up your Contacts, Calendar and Email, as well as
Docs/Drive.

You can use their corresponding web service to export data in a variety of
formats.

That works for Google provided services. For other stuff, it is application
dependent.
