OK, why? i.e. I get using a client, and you seem quite satisfied with 
your experience, but what functionality are you seeing that makes you 
want your own server? (Somewhat?) Absolutely Assured Private 
conferencing? Or rather, to host others that are looking for that?

 From your quick experience - is this convergence? Do you see Asterisk 
going away (except for on such servers) from the home in favour of this?

Or do you see this as the new pidgin? One 'utility' instead of Skype 
and Pidgin and e-mail and Softphones and who knows what all else, 
into, finally, a coherent, consistent, (personal?) communications 
'environment'?
