Um, that's his point.

If your candidate is in 5th place ... don't 'waste' your vote - 
assuming your least preferred candidate is more likely to win if you 
do 'waste' it.

Instead, vote for the candidate most likely to beat your least 
preferred candidate, instead of your 5th place preferred candidate.


Given the level of discussion on all of this on the list - if someone 
comes across links as to the current polling on local candidates, do 
please post the link.

Not being partisan here - it would be 'democratically cool' if 
non-Lib/non-PC candidates were in the lead - but I think it unlikely.
