Hi Luggers!

On October 1 & 2, KwartzLab <http://kwarrtzlab.ca/> is proud to host the
second annual SoOnCon <http://sooncon.ca/> - the Southern Ontario
Hackerspaces & Makers Mini-Conference. Join members of
Hacklab.TO <http://hacklab.to/>, KwartzLab <http://kwartzlab.ca/>,
Site 3<http://site3.ca/>,
think|haus <http://thinkhaus.org/>, and friends in Kitchener, Ontario,
Canada for two days of talks, demos, hacking, and partying.

This year's SoOnCon conference badge is a custom designed and fully hackable
ARM-based microcontroller
the LPC 1343 Cortex M3 chipset (take a look at the board
before we solder them <http://yfrog.com/edp75lj>). If you're already a
micro-controller user, try out this new bad boy. If not, come out and learn
how to program one! (I believe the designers are planning to make the board
open-hardware and open-software as well.)

Friday night starts with a catered reception with cash bar, where you can
chat with other attendees, and learn how to hack your badge. Saturday will
be a full day of talks, workshops, and demos on everything from Wearable
Electronics, 3D printers, Retro Computing, and even a Fire Effects Demo. Our
keynote speaker on Saturday is Kate Hartman <http://www.katehartman.com/>,
an artist, reasearcher, inventor, and professor at OCAD.

All this for only $40!

More detailed information as well as registration information are available
on the SoOnCon Website <http://sooncon.ca/>.
