I respected Drupal for making bold changes to APIs. I figured that since it's relatively new it should be able to make big changes to fix suboptimal choices in the past.

I'll respect Drupal for a little while longer, but soon it will have to stabilize. The idea of painfully upgrading a web site every two years because an old version drops out of support doesn't appeal to me.
