Wakeup call! After all these messages we hadn't asked new members what they want to see. It seems that we are trying to make decisions for them "Father knows best" style.

Maybe we are so opinionated and loud that leave very little space for them to tell us what they want to hear.

So, what can be fixed? (based on what I've gathered in this thread)
- Create the space for "101" questions: The mailing list, a few minutes during the meeting, volunteer mentors, etc.
- Create the space for "101" answers: Link library on the web site, tutorials, partnering with the Working Centre.

For example, on the topics that John asked I would point to 

http://www.gcflearnfree.org/computer/topic.aspx?id=127

or even the whole site as

http://www.newbie.org

Or even create a 10 minutes interactive presentation using Wink if I cannot find anything to link to.
