I've never had a problem finding what I needed in KDE. I *like* the fact that 
nothing is hidden from me.

I hate Dolphin, and in fact revert back to Konqueror for anything that it 
seems to want to pop Dolphin up for.

Actually, one of the first apps I install is mc. I came from the days of Norton 
Commander, and mc keeps me there. :-)  (I actually call it Morton Commander, 
not Midnight Commander.)
