[kwlug-disc] Jan 3: statutory holiday?

Is Jan 3 2011 a non-holiday Monday? I am getting conflicting reports.
The Intertubes seem to suggest that New Year's Day is still January 1
even though it is a Saturday. 

If our algorithm says we should be holding the monthly meeting on
January 10 instead then we should know ASAP. Also we should find some
way to contact Ralph, who is apparently so far behind on his e-mail he
may not see this message until February.
