There is nothing in the BIOS to enable memory remapping or anything
along those lines?

thing, where older memory controllers were sometimes still 32-bit. AMD
was supposed to not have this issue as their memory controller was
included on the CPU package (which intel also does now since the i*
models).

I'm assuming this is for the 'ma78lmt-s2' motherboard and Athlon II
CPU you posted about a few days ago. That is an AM3 motherboard, so
you should not have any trouble accessing more memory. For comparison,
my AM2 system from ~2008 can access almost all, about 3.9GB (a bit is
still used for onboard video, etc.). I would be very surprised that
this isn't possible on a new AMD system.
