Worst part of this all seems to be that some people may get the impression that this is what "linux" looks like.

Although I appreciate that linux can run and can rescue older computers, I don't understand promoting it in older or underperforming computers.

I'm sure that someone at the buying department of Canadian tire thought it would be a good idea buying them for $20 in bulk and promoting them as netbooks.
