I used it unebootin as I knew what I was doing.

But I was just curious of them calling it "PC (Intel x86) netbook live CD" when it does not fit a CD.

They could have called it USB Image and give people a link to unebootin or any other method for setting up the USB. Instead they have a link to a "CD Burning Guide".


That's why I asked if this is the right place to get the image from or if they knew a way of burning more than 700 MB to a CD.

You still use disks?

I noticed that the netbook images don't fit on CD, which is not a
problem for machines that typically do not have optical drives.  I find
they work very well off of USB with unetbootin.  You could burn it to
DVD if you wanted.

The straight "USB" images from Debian (hd-media) come as img files which
can be dd'd onto a stick.

The future is disk-less!
