Actually I was thinking that even the "issue" of lack of local support is just that, an issue, not an anoyance.


For Paul's event there is an opportunity for people to save on support and licenses by going FLOSS even if that means a bit of DIY.

If you see the other sessions they are having, most of them are DIY. From grow or buy local to make or mend your clothes. So the audience may be more receptive to a little DIY in exchange of frugality.
