[kwlug-disc] Nokia smartphone with APT!

This is a new phone from Nokia. It is based on the Linux Maemo platform
which so far has been for internet tablets, not phones.

The user interface looks good. Very iPhone like, but with a keyboard.

Runs Linux of course, and updateable via APT.

How comprehensive will the repository be though?

The slashdot thread says that one can write applications in Python for
this phone, and there is no lockage of any sort (the Apple sort or the
Google sort)

They even have a Linux flasher for the past Maemos here
