[kwlug-disc] anyone played with a system with a "display port"?

  i was just handed a new dell latitude E6500 with no HDMI or DVI port
on it, but one of the new display ports, and i have for the life of me
been unable to supply external video to a samsung monitor.  you need
to get display port-specific cables with this thing (of which i have
two:  DP <-> DVI and DP <-> HDMI), but nothing i do can get video out
to an external monitor on this laptop running F10.

  has anyone else been messing with this new video port format?  any
advice?
